wireless cards?

I have a lynksys wag54g wireless router and i have just bought a new computer for a room that has no ethernet ports
if i was to buy a wireless adapter from a different brand (such as d-link) would i experience any problems
i have been previouslyt old that all routers work fine with all adapters (Running in the same standard of course) except for the fact thatsome special features of routers may not work
Anyone no anything about this?

So as long as they're both 802.11 b or g then yeah, it'll be fine.
