Have to set time each startup on my laptop.

Can anybody help me with a problem with my laptop. It is an IBM Thinkpad and it has just started each time on startup that it wont let me into windows xp without resetting the date and time.

I have gone into the bios and set the time but it doesnt hold it for any length of time. Can anyone help me with this problem ?? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Sounds like your battery is dying.

The motherboard battery needs replacing.
