How to make BSOD stay on screen (so i can read it)

Even with the logs you wont have the exact cause. You might have a closer answer than just with the Stop Error code but nothing is certain. Even the logs can be wrong. I know you gonna say that they cant be but they can. I have seen ti personally. Where it was 1 piece of hardware that was messing up several others. All cause of a bad USB driver. So even logs can be wrong.
 
as long as you know how to read em properly they will defintly be right , the "likely caused by" is not the only thing you should be looking at

edit in most cases you can get the exact cause , in some you cant but at least it helps narrowing it down
 
umm.. guys, all im asking for was how to set windows to NOT AUTOMATICALL REBOOT when a critical error occurs, and that it should leave the BSOD displayed.

but never mind guys i found the cuplrit.. a windows update: KB980..something.. i uninstalled it and all is fine again.

still, i would like to know the answer to this ORIGINAL question of mine. :)
