What could be causing this problem?

Sometimes, when I shut down my laptop, I hear these sounds (very quetly):

tic......................tac............................................tic.........................tac

Could this be batery cooling down?

probly ur processor, vid card, battery whatever cooling down, kind of like on a car

Its the oil dripping into the oil pan

It's cooling of heatsinks, aluminum that sometimes surounds the entire laptop, and other things...
