compaq 5610

i was wondering if anyone knows how to get to the bios on a compaq 5610 i have tried everything and it just goes to the windows 98 screen i wanna install a new os but i cant get to the bios anyone know how to go about doin this?

f1 and delete are the common ones, try a keyboard mash if those won't work,, if you hit esc or f12 it should get rid of the compaq splash screen that covers the post screen, then at the bottom it should tell you which key to enter setup (bios)

compaq/hp site says f1 or f10 at the splash screen.
