Recently, my 17-inch Philips 107S monitor randomly switches off during random intervals i.e. when I'm using the computer, after a few minutes or so, the monitor screen just goes blank, but the tiny monitor light (just beside the switch) is on (i.e. it stays yellow). So I then turn off the monitor switch, and then turn it back on again, and the screen comes back, but again after a few minutes (or sometimes thirty or so seconds), the monitor screen goes blank yet again! So I am forced to repeat the same tiring procedure, which really takes my patience, especially when I'm watching a video or reading something.
I've tried almost everything e.g. changing power cables, etc. but the problem remains.
Can this problem be fixed by a suitable computer technician, or do I have to buy a new monitor all over again?
