What temperature should the Athlon 2500+ XP run at?

It depends on the load and cooling but.
At idel 30-40 and with load 40-55

Well i just got a new heat sink Called everclear and it still has heat problems at: 51-54 idel and it gets up there when im gaming and stuff. if i put case fans in will it help any?

you may have case airflow problems. 50-55C idle is nothing to worry about, that is normal. what happens when you leave the side of the case off? check your temps without side. so what exactly are the temps when gaming?

I just got done playing UT 2004 and my temps were around 55-57, with out the case they are around 51-53 idle. Note that i dont have any case fans.

for me bellow 60 on everything is fine. When it gets up there i get worried those are fine temps. I guess iv just been arround a lot of cool machines
