Hi i posted a on this topic about a month or so ago and havent recieved much info. Im changing from adsl to cable and already have a adsl router, it is a D-Link DSL 504 router with 4 ports.

Is it possible to configure it somehow to accept cable??? I havent got a clue and the shop i bought it from are stoogey and wont tell me! Please reply

Rhys, from what I'm seeing, I think that you're out of luck.

What I'm seeing is that it's a DSL modem with built-in 4 port switch. It's probably possible to change, but definitely would not be economical, because you would have to change the interface type (phone jack to a cable jack), and I believe that it's two different technologies used to transfer the data (DOCSIS for cable, don't know for DSL).
