Looking for parts

Okay, I'll be getting Christmas money soon and I'm going to ask for money instead of presents. Let's say I have about 450 dollars. Please help me find a good grapgics card, anywhere from a gig to 2 gigs and 2.4 gh AMD processor. I know it'll be a little more the $420 but I can do some more saving and waiting.
I'm basing this off of half life 2 requirements, so.
EDIT: forget the processor, I just found out I have a 2.8 gh processor. SCORE!

I forgot to mention, I only have 2 memory slots. And I'm looking for maybe a little cheaper on the graphics card. I want to be slightly above average not full out. And check out www.pricewatch.com

Wait, I have this in my comp, Sempron 2400+ 1.667GHz. I was told I had a 2.8GHZ processor. Does that number mean exactly what I have?
Okay, I also have to ask about these two cards also. Which is better?
