Triple boot problem

I triple boot win98 win2000 winxp on seperate partitions and all was well till i decided to install the recovery console to the boot menue in Win 2000.XP does not boot now says win 2000 cannot start problem with windows\system32\ i fer get the rest of the path.Why does xp entry think its win2000?since its referring to windows in the path and not Winnt the boot.ini must be pointed to the right place.I booted from the XP cd and ran fixboot but no luck.Can still access win2000 and win98.Any quick fixes here?Thanks
