OS doesnt install

ok i just tried what you said but now its saying something that has partmgr.sys in it saying that the drivers unloaded without cancelling pending operations.
Anybody?

and format that way via windows

ok i dont know how to do that but ive connected the hd to another comp and tried installing on that but it still came up with the same error. Is it possible that the HDD is broken or something? cause ive read alot of people saying maxtor is bad on this forum
