hey guys
I am new to this forum, and am planning to build my first computer in the near future (ie when I can gather all the funds for it). I was just browsing when I came across a post on thermal paste in which Trotter stated that not having it is "not an option".
I was just reading info from AMD's site that stated that thermal paste is not to be used in the long-term operating sense, and futhermore, that a heatsink with a thermal pad does not require thermal paste, so I'm confused. Is thermal paste always necessary? Thanks in advance.
