Hey all, made a post earlier regarding upgrading my heat sink. Yesterday I found out a friend has a heat sink that will fit my PC with copper CORE he doesn't want and is just giving it to me. I'm using a retail Intel heat sink and it's getting about 5-10 degrees hotter then I would like. Would this copper core heat sink be better then the Intel? I already picked up some of the Artic Silver thermal compound. Heat Sink is still new and unopened.
Since i'm not overclocking and just trying to get temps down 5-10 degrees, was wondering if this might do the trick. (Obviously I could just try it out, but prefer not to even bother if it's unlikely to drop temps)
