maxtor 160 ata 133 card

i purchased the maxtor 160 gig with ata 133 card
and i cant seem to get it to work

situation
trying to get a brand new xp installation on to this 160gig
but xp only reads drive as a 127
and i cant use ata133 card with out first installing xp
tried using maxblast
and it got my 160 out and got the xp to install
but this is not on the ata 133
installed the drivers afer i installed xp
and then switched the cable over to the controller
but then i get an error dynamic drive overlay not found


i'm sure there a lot of people with this drive since it was cheap

any help would be appreciated

I'm fairly sure the ata133 should be usable without the xp....unless your system is WAY old.....maybe the ata133 is bad? If the "normal" ata connections to the mobo work but the ata card does not, then I'd check for newer drivers...you might have to return that ata133 card though....
