Dont use the Raptors in RAID 0. They were not made for it. There are a lot of reports of people using them in RAID 0 and having them fail after several months. Get Caviar REs (RAID Edition) instead. They are made to run in a RAID setup.

They arnt? Then why do companies like Alienware use them if they arnt ment for it and fail after several months? I have to see where it says they are hurt buy using Raid, all it does is split the data up, its not any harder on the HD.

I have never heard of RAID rendering a drive bunk. All it would do is increase the HDD activity on that disk, but certainly not increase it's chance of failure. If you got a bunk drive to begin with, maybe it would increase the rate of failure, but not by putting it into RAID.

Chank, we're not talking math here man. :p

in theory, two drives in RAID 0 should be double the time. But that is theory, and theory is never actually true to life, which is why it is theory and not fact.

But RAID increasing the rate of failure for Raptors only? C'mon...
