I have a network with 40 XP Professional machines and 5 Win. 2000. I have 2 servers that all machines access. Most of my XP machines log into Server1 with login scripts, but also access Server2 with a drive mapping, given by the login script. I have user names identical on both servers. When the users log in, they can access both servers for a little while, then for some reason, they lose connection to Server2. If they reboot they can access again, until the same thing happens. I do not have this problem with any of my 2000 machines. I also do not have this problem with the 6 machines that only log into Server2. They do not lose their connection. Can anyone give me any help on this. I have applied all service packs and critical updates. The servers are Win2000 SP4 with all critical updates. The network infrastructure is Switched 100Mbps using HP Procurve switches only. Thanks for any help.
