Get the 9600 XT that I linked, and follow these instructions...
(I)
* Click here for the Universal Ati/Nvidia driver cleaner
* Scroll down until you see the word Download
* Click the grey icon under the red arrow
* Click Open
* A Winzip screen should appear, click I Agree
* If listed, click the WinZip Classic button
* Click the Extract button
* On the upper left, in the Extract to blank,
type C:\Driver Cleaner setup
* Click Extract
* Close all boxes that are still open
* Click Start- My Computer or double click the My Computer icon
* Open the (C drive
* Open the Driver Cleaner setup folder
* Double-click the file setup.exe
* Click Next
* Insert a dot to "I accept the agreement"
* Click Next
* Click Next
* Click Next
* Click Next
* Click Install
* Click Next
* Remove the check from "Launch Driver Cleaner
* Click Finish
* Close any boxes that are still open
(II)
* Restart the computer. At the blue Dell screen, rapidly tap the F8 key (do not hold it down)
* At some point, the Advanced Options menu will appear
* Scroll to and select Safe Mode [press Enter]
* Windows will start in Safe Mode. Close any boxes that may open, just get to the desktop
* Click Start- (All) Programs- Driver Cleaner- Driver Cleaner
* Click Nvidia or Ati, click Clean. Follow any prompts but try not to reboot. If the system restarts, just close any messages and get to the desktop
* Press the Windows + Pause/Break keys
* Click the Hardware tab and/or the Device Manager button
* Open the Display Adaptors
* Delete all items under Display Adaptors
(III)
* Click Start- Shutdown- Shutdown- Ok or Click Start- Turn Off Computer- Turn Off
* Disconnect the monitor from the old video card
* Open the case
* Remove the retaining screw or lift the lever
* Remove the old video card
* Add the replacement video card
* Replace the screw or press the green lever down
* Replace the cover
* Reconnect the monitor to the video card
* Power on the monitor first, then the system
* The new video card will be found by the Windows operating system. Close any boxes and just get to the desktop. Once there, double-click the driver you previously downloaded. Follow the prompts
