If I'm to look at the value for money, the Buffalo LinkStation Live seems a better option than the USB 3.0 mentioned. It's only $10-$20 more than USB 3.0 WD/Seagate ones, but offers more features. Downside though; not many reviews exist about it. And the ones that exist say it's slow. A solution could be the Pro, which has 1.6GHz processor (vs 800 mhz) and a USB port for extra storage/printer. But then again, several users complained of several DOA units, or units failing after only a few months.
I apologize if I'm over-complicating things or making things confusing. I'm a bit confused now myself. That's why I'm looking to you guys for advice.
