Okay... I've finally been able to save up a little extra cash. I was considering a GPU upgrade. My disposable income at this point is roughly $130 - $150 USD. I currently have an HD 5770, which is still very nice. I was looking into the HD 6850, and judging from what I've seen its benchmarks at, it's a pretty cost effective card.
Would I notice a huge improvement in performance getting this upgrade?
Just recently I finally made the Skyrim purchase and thought my card was going to do a crap job... I've been able to go max settings on this game (not that it's a huge graphics sink) on a 1440x900 res. I tend to keep the AF off however, or right around 4 samples. Honestly I've turned it up and don't really notice a visual difference. It's the only settings option I don't have on max. At four samples, plus everything else, I'm still getting smooth frame rates.
So would this be worth an upgrade, for the 6850, or anything within my price range?
My Specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 3.4
HD 5770
WD Black 750GB
8GB GSkill Snipers @1333
OCZ ModXstream Pro
etc etc...
