So heres the deal,
I do amateur music producing and I need fast transfer rates for loading files into my Digital Audio Workstation.
I already have Windows installed on a 1TB Hard drive, but I want to get an extra HDD (Internal or External) to place all of my audio samples in (Over 30 GB's of samples) so my computer will perform better.
I want my Operating System on an SSD drive (If I get my hands on one) but as you read, it is installed already.

Is there any way to transfer my operating system to an SSD drive LEGALLY?

I believe there are ways to do a complete copying of a hard drive, but I do not know how. It would be less of a hassle to just install it on the SSD and transfer all your files to an external drive, then format your 1tb hd, and put all the files back on there.

(Through a quick search, I found this http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm but I have not used it and do not know how it would work or if it will even fulfill your needs.)
