Just wanted a little advice... my Nvidia 8800GTX has finally given up the ghost after several long years of service... time to upgrade and I would like to buy a reasonable card that can play all the mod games etc that I will not need to replace for a little while.
Problem is that my mobo which has a PCI x16 slot is now older and mod GPU cards are running with PCI 2.0 slots - I realise that these cards are backwards compatible with my mobo but will it seriously effect the quality of the output? I don't think there is any point in spending a lot of money on a card that will not be operating at full capacity?
What do you think?
Cheers
