except the 750w corsair psu for a rosewell 750w psu.
That. Is a terrible, terrible idea. You've swapped an excellent, high-quality PSU, for a fairly crap, low-mid-quality one. Your PSU is potentially the most important piece of kit in your system, the one thing you don't want to cheap out on.

There will be at least a small performance boost on the 6-core over the 4-core - worth the $20 extra, I'd say.

Alright here is my final build (i decided to get a new monitor since my old one is a square 15-16ish inch monitor). If two things dont have a space between them that means they are a combo.

Last question... which one of the motherboards are better? And would i benefit much from a higher end motherboard?

ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard

ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

I see that you have the M4A79TXD EVO Sean, how is it working for you?
(i will also eventually want to buy another gtx 460 1gb later for sli)

Dang thats like $70 more than the other motherboard... will i really see much improvement choosing the ASUS M4A89TD PRO instead of the ASUS M4A87TD EVO?

Ugh.... newegg ran out of my ram... was going to order it tonight. Anyone know how long newegg usually takes restocking?

get the RAM from amazon instead.

like i said i hate my mother board. i think it is the soul reason i cant get my processor over 3.8ghz, even water cooled i cant get it any higher than that with an idle temp of 25* and load temp of 38*. its either my mother board ( which i think it is ) or my processor... either way. it all depends on how high you want to over clock, if getting to 4ghz doesnt do anything for you then by all means save the extra money and get it the M4A79 board. but if overclocking is the main reason ( and i think it is because you made a big to do about getting an unclocked CPU ) then you will want to go with the other motherboard i linked.
