Hello everyone, I'm new to the site, and had a couple questions
I'm going to be building a new computer, and installing windows 7 on a new hard drive. After installing windows 7 is it better to use the driver cd's included with the motherboard and the other hardware or just downloading new drivers from the makers website?
I'm using a hp dvd writer "dvd1260i" The box says it's compatible with windows xp,vista. In your opinion will it work with windows 7? Checked on the hp website and there is no updated driver. A geek squad agent said windows 7 would auto detect this device. Is this correct in your opinion?
motherboard: intel DP55WB
cpu: core i5
video: nvidia geforce 8400
power supply: rocketfish 550w
hard drive: 500gb seagate barracuda
onboard sound
memory: 2gb kingston 1.5v
case: coolmaster centurion
Thank you for the help
Brad
