Hello,
I'm trying to fix this laptop, model HP dv2410us running Vista Home Basic ( more or less 1 year old)
I believe the battery is worn out, cause after a fully charge, is goes dead again the next day. But that's not the problem.
The problem is that this laptop, turns on fine when I press it on.
I shut it down, and start it up again, and it won't boot. The Power on Indicator light turns, on , the HDD light indicator flashes once or twice , then turns off. No post screen is showed.
I turn it off and turn it on again....boots normally, and works fine.
Turn it off, and on again....doesn't boot
Turn it off, turn it on...boots fine
Get the picture ?
I've tried this both with and without the battery and it does the same. The one time it turns on and boot normally, the next time it doesn't, and then again boots up fine.
Anybody knows what the problem is ?

PS. Ive checked on HP for the HP Limited Warranty Service Enhancement
The product number is in one of the list, but they say that it should be followed by the letter R
and this laptop is followed by this sign: #
