recommend psu for 2x gtx 285's

im pretty sure i dont want to give this task to my current psu
(ocz gamexstream 700w) as it has 4x 18A(72A) rails.

these call for 42+A for single card.

would this mean it needs 84+A for sli?

im looking to get a modular psu this time if i need to replace my current one.

btw, budget is no more than 300, the less the better.

42a is a full system recommendation.

A 700watt can handle dual GTX 285's just fine, thats less than 400watts plus the cpu and system components comes out to about 550watts, well within spec.

should be, and you have 2 6-pin and 2 8-pin connectors?

it has 1x 6 pin + 1x 6+2 pin

guess i could use the connectors it comes with to power the 2nd card.
(6pin to molex)

hmm, it might be best to get a psu that has the correct connectors. with 2 GTX285's i wouldnt want to be running off of molex adapters lol
