New Gaming PC

Before i buy. I currently have a dell 5150 3g cpu(not core 2 duo) and 3g ram but gpu is s**t also (x800 i think). can i do anything with it to compete with a good gaming pc.

Simply put, No. a 3ghz non core 2 duo cpu is either a Pentium 4 or a Pentium D. They both suck. The ram is probably older so it will be slow and have bad timings, let alone it being cheap because Dell used it.

Can you sli a 260 and a 9800? I thought sli was really picky about cards.

sorry you misunderstood. i meant an ati card 4850 or 4370 not in cross fire or an nvidia 260 or 9800 not in sli with each other.

I seem to be recommending this one a lot, but it is a good board. She will oc well and has a good price. You wont find all of the features that the higher end board have but I have seen one do 700mhz fsb.
