philbar71 Fully Optimized Messages 4,533 Location Suffolk, VA Aug 17, 2008 #24 most 8600gts's require a 6pin power connector. so a regular 8600gt will be fine for playing games at lower res. but i did see one 8600gts on newegg that takes a 4 pin molex connector instead of a 6 pin pci express. Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P2-N773-AR GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards very pricey for a 8600gts but it might just work. but if your going to spent 150 on a 8600gts i strongly disagree. you should get a 8800gs/gt and a bigger psu

Actually my original plan was to build a comp and get a nice 8800 gs but I didn't think they would fit? Very limited room in there.

philbar71 Fully Optimized Messages 4,533 Location Suffolk, VA Aug 17, 2008 #27 a 8800gs is about 10 in and get a tape mesure and mesure the length of the outside of your case. and if you have more than like 13 or 14 in than you can fit a 10 in card in it
