for me personally, i don't mind spending a lot more money on anything, just as long as i see that the increase was well worth it. it seems that you only see a performance increase is when you get the fsb too like 500-600 which would actually be very beneficial on the new q9 series, but other then that, i don't really see a reason to shell out big bucks for minimal performance gain when you can shell out a reasonable amount of money and have all the performance you need.
granted, if you get a q9 series and want to see really good performance gains from oc'ing it, then you are going to need a board that can hit the 500-600 fsb range, cause the multi is so low on them.
