Sorry for all the questions about RAM, but if I was to buy a stick of 512MB RAM, and later on in life i decided to buy another stick of 512MB RAM and i got sam make and speed, would it work out OK?

Won't be any problem once so ever. Like mentioned above, make sure your mobo supports 1 Gb or RAM (most likely it does). You can even mix RAM of different frequencies (must be same format), however they will all be forced to run at the speed of the slowest module present.
Ex.: If you use one 512 Mb (PC3200) module, and add one 512 Mb (PC2700) module... Both chips will be running at 333 Mhz (PC2700).
