gah, im not liking this, now they're going into 3xxx model numbers without any significant leap in technology, that'll be pretty dissappointing and confusing
What I'm hearing is that it's simply an R600 die shrink with 256-bit memory interface (apparently a 512-bit interface was overkill), so it'll probably perform like an 2900XT but consume less energy and will cost less, although the 2900PRO has already presented a solution as far as cost is concerned, time will tell I guess, I have more hope for the 8800GT and I'm starting to get sick of ATI and their skimpy, unstable drivers and inferior warranties... if eVGA made ATI cards, maybe that'd be a different story...
