His comment was not only referring to this piece of hardware, and I agree with him.

People say SLI is stupid, not good when it comes to price for performance, etc. But the added performance of SLI is supposed to be excessive in comparison to using one video card. It's the added performance that is significant, not the face that it costs two times more and delivers only 50% performance increase.

Thats only the Gibabyte x38 Motherboard. I'm curious to see how the maximus fairs. I was looking at the p5k boards but now i might go x38 Btw, the maximus is crossfire only right? someone plz say no...

Like the P35 chipsets, I believe X38 chipsets only support Crossfire.
