My pc is a sony so i don't think i will be able to over clock it at all.

you say you upgraded your RAM, if the RAM , if your mobo doesnt liek yuor ram speeds this could show slower performance. how many stick of RAM you have 2x 256MB? and do you know the speeds of them? need help finding out use CPU-z

ya it is 2x 256 and that is the max ram my mobo can take. They are the same speed.
