Network Activity=Mouse Lag?

When i use my network, say for online gaming, the mouse lags horribly. The FPS goes down to ~4 when normally, it would be about 30 or 40fps. My PC isn't that good, but this issue just started about a week ago. It's very annoying because it makes gaming impossible.

malware scans stat!!! spyware, av, etc.

done that. Spybot SD and McAfee full scans. Removed everything i could find. Mostly just debris from normal surfing.
