Broken Hardrive Pin

Hey,
so i was doing alot of plugging and unplugging with my xbox hardrive (IDE cable) and it seems i broken a pin all the way in or completely off!! its not in the cable but anyways i MUST get the hardrive working permanently pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee. if anyone can post a way to repair connectivity between that broken pin and the cable i would be most grateful,

sometimes the broken pin is not "needed"
so my best recommendation is to:

plug the drive into a computer, see if it will read and write...

if so...

back that drive up most ricky tic.

Take a small pin and cut it to length, then shove it into the IDE cable where you broke the pin off.

Should do the trick.
