Do I have to reinstall my OS?

I am building a new PC right now. All parts of it are going to be brand new, except a floppy drive and hard drive from my old system. My old system has Windows XP Pro SP2 on it, and I was wondering, after the motherboard and CPU switch, will I have to reinstall my OS? I know this is a newb question, but I've never build a PC with a used hard drive before. Thanks in advance, Derrick.

Try doing a repair install. If that doesn't work, you'll have to make a new installation.

I would do a re-install. Less hassle.

Well, I have my CD still, so I'll just reinstall it.
