If the company has a warehouse or an office in your state they have to charge you sales tax. Like Trotter lives in Tennessee where they've got a newer Newegg warehouse so he gets charged sales tax.
It's like buying online from cirucit city or best buy if there's a store in your state you pay sales tax, too.

supposedly, there have been new rules put on internet sales. Most everything is taxed now. I noticed it when i bought my laptop. Usually, I would buy stuff online and go pick it up at the store the next day, but now theres tax so it doesn't matter.

man up my friendly Americans over here we get charged a uniform 10% G.S.T (Goods and Services Tax) on virtually everything!!! it doesn't matter where they are located in Australia we will be charged GST.
