Ok yet another vid card for casual gaming question... please bear with me last card i bought was like 5 years ago. Please no more suggestions im overwhelmed as is. and no; im not willing to shell out abit more for a better card, im sticking to whatever budget i have right now. and yes i am admittedly a penny crunching cheapskate, im even using a good ol fashioned 17" crt monitor.
so the choices are:
Powercolor HD3650 512MB 128Bit DDR2 - least expensive, good reviews but 2 years old- might be obsolete soon...
Palit GT220 512MB 128Bit DDR2 - recommended by a gaming bud of mine
atm im keeping my eyes on the gt series
Sparkle 9400GT 1024MB DDR2 128bit - not sure about the performance differences compared to:
Palit/Sparkle GF 9500GT 1GB 128Bit DDR2 - newegg users seem to like it
and theres that 512MB DDR3 variant, i have no idea if its better. it would cost up to $5 less compared to the 1gb DDR2.
the choices of: gt220 and the 9500gt are roughly the same price at my local dealers.
Games I want to play are: Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and Dawn of War 2
