XP Pro Repeatedly Crashing when Streaming Online Video

The next part of the saga...

Reinstalled web-cam driver, since it caused a crash when having a video call. Didn't work though, as it crashed the following time I tried it, providing me with a wonderful blue screen of death... with the following error:

PFN_POOL_CORRUPTED

Checked it out on the Microsoft website, and could only find info on Windows 2000.

Try doing a repair install of the OS, this sometimes sorts these problems out when replacing the mobo.

Cheers Raffaz, that's what I'd figured. Certainly won't do any harm, will serve as a bit of a spring clean. If it works fine after that, I think I'll upgrade to Vista Ultimate anyway!

Ohhh, its getting worse, or rather different. Now Live Messenger keeps having to close, so does IE, and so does my poker software. But they all do it at different times, and after various lengths of being open.

So now I can't chat, surf or gamble. What on earth is happening people?!

Solution Found!

Contacted Corsair to find out what voltage their XMS memory modules needed. Was about .1V great than the defaults on the mobo.

Have increased it, and no problems since.
