Is it possible to upgrade from windows xp home to professional?...do I have to remove service pack one first....so many questions :)....I have home installed now, and I have professional to toss on.....just looking for the easiest method.

My opinion is to backup, wipe and start over.

But if you want to just update to Pro, then just install over the existing Home version. Pro will get rid of (more like ignore) anything it doesn't need.

But by far backup, wipe and start over is the best solution for performance, space saving and just overall best for the computer.

I would recommend as Killer did to just format and reinstall Windows; unless you have brought an upgrade version then all you have to do is put in the CD and follow the instructions in Windows.
