I was kind of hoping for two independant cubes, but I'm sure that's totally possible being that it is opensource.

Yea XGL/Compiz is sweet. Have it running on my SuSE box, took awhile to tweak it to work. Makes me wish I had 2 gig of RAM on my system to take the full advantage of it, but **** on a dual monitor. I don't have money yet for dual monitor.

Yes, I believe all you need is a card that supports OpenGL, something like GeForce 4 TI-4200 or newer or Radeon X300 or newer. Make sure you have atleast 1 gig of RAM, 2 gig better.

Oh, I have perfectly suitable hardware (7800GT, 2GB RAM, etc). I'll try downloading it someday soon. I still haven't mastered the art of installing programs on Linux.

You get bored after awhile with it though, it's a just a fancy GUI trick that will kill your 3D rendering performance, after awhile when you're done showing it off to your friend it gets pretty old.
