xbox wheel to xbox 360 cord?

I just aquired a steering wheel/pedals for the regular xbox. I no longer have an xbox, but a 360. I was wondering if i do this type of mod:http://www.fury-tech.com/en/Guides/Xbox-Controller-PC-Conversion-Mod , will it work or not? i couldnt find any other articles on makind a xbox 1 controller work on the 360.

Microsoft seriously need to put out a conversion wire and update support for that stuff. But, nope they force you to pay for their $xx wheel.
