I've read many reviews online saying that ATI's X800XL is a great value because its performance is competitive with the nVidia 6800GT and it retails for significantly less. In my searches, however, I find that the price gap between the X800XL and the 6800GT is actually much smaller than I expected.

So my question is this - is the X800XL a worthwhile card simply because it's almost as good as the 6800GT at a lower price? In other words, if I can get the 6800GT for almost the same price, is there any reason why I should get the X800XL instead?
One issue I have heard is that the 6800GT is buggy when running some specific games, including World of Warcraft and Counter Strike: Source. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Thanks in advance.
