X-530's-True Surround Sound?

Yeah, but, for TRUE surround, I wouldnt get less then 200 watts. Id say about 300watts. And your safe. Anything over 600 is too much. The X-5500's are great at 505 watts. Mmmm...

It probably is true surround. It depends what your doing though.

For instance, for sound to play differnetly on all speakers, you need a game that supports 5.1, otherwise you are going to get them all playing the same.

Another thing, if your playing music, this will happen also, unless you have a program that can split the audio. For instance with Power DVD. Theres a pack you can get called the Audio Pack which adds a software decoder of the Pro Logic 2 system, and that is excellent for audio!!! It splits the tracks so realistically and seperates them so good, and in full 5.1 too.

There are plugins for Winamp too for 5.1 surround I've seen around.

So it depends what your playing. The computer won't automiatcally decode stuff into 5.1 thats meant to be just a stereo track. Which is why all speakers are being treated the same, as two stereo sets jacked up.
