WTF is wrong with CF?

There is a maturity different in age groups. There is almost automatically a maturity difference in a 14 year old and a 25 year old. A teenager is still developing and matureing, all the way to age 25.

That is why insurance rates lower at 25, becuase the brain reaches it's "adult" stage. There are some more mature than others at all ages, but younger peoples on average will be less mature than older figures. That is a given of life.

I don't see much point in arguing over this topic though, because nothing will come out of it.

You are so wrong Troy, if David sees us abusing our authority, believe me he gives us a right b*ll*king, I've had a couple & I don't mind admitting it, there is a guidance to mods which is explained to us when we are first made up whch is nearly two & a half years ago for me, oh yes, he keeps a v-e-r-y strict eye on us including our PM's, in fact he can & does look at a percentage of all of them including members on a fairly regular basis, it's not "big brother" though, it's called running this site efficiently & safely.

I'm just saying it as the way I see it. We obviously see it two different ways but that's fine :) I didn't know David could read your PM's though, that's interesting. All of the mods here are good, to me it just seems that when they step over the line it's usually the members who point it out and there's no warning.

Theres no saint on this forum, everybody has got wound up at some time or another, and as for maturity well I believe it does not matter how old you are 14 or 90 if your sensible then thats fine by me. also you still need to have a bit of laugh as well its good for moral, you can have humor/friendly banter and still be mature about it.
I think the younger members do fine, they are entitled to there opinion and its interesting to see what they have to say.

Yeah maturity isnt just decided by age , as a whole generaly you get more mature when you get older but people develop at different speeds and have different experiences which shape them as people
I mean i have met some middle age people who still act like 10-11 year olds in the way they behave so yeah age isnt everything
and i mean just cos you enjoy a laugh with mates dosent mean you are immature its a way of keeping happy and socialising
You cant say all 14 year olds are imature cos that is sterotyping and IMO quite wrong and ageist
And i mean there are different types of maturity , there is the sensible side of maturity but everyone no matter what age can enjoy a good laugh with mates that is something i think everyone needs to keep happy in life ,
You cant be uptight no fun all work and serious person all the time everyone enjoys sociailising with mates no matter what age , its part of being a human haveing a good time with friends

Also there are different types of maturity emotional maturity is a very improtant one that we dont realy get to express on here much and thats to do with how to behave in certain situations and how to react to diffent emotions and generaly handle things , also partly knowing the right thing to say in different situations

mark@ Ok, I officially give up. EVERYTIME I look at your avatar, I TRY to figure out just what the hell it is.
SPILL IT! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!

its a bearded dragon lizard.. shes about 6 years old now, and called Derek (one very gender confused lizard...)

Wait, I need to clear something up.

Can one of the people that is saying that mods don't follow rules please say which mods they are talking about? I will completely guard anything they say and if anyone gives them crap about it I will take care of it. I would just like to see what mods people are talking about, even if it is me.

Brookfield is a mod I dont think follows the rules and he also dosent listen when he is told my David, another mod even spelled this out to us all before

Of course he does carry out his moderating duties ok but tbh i think all the trouble he brings is it realy worth it , i mean david could have another mod in any day to do this

I think so far you have been fine thelis , i havent seen you make any rash decisions or go ott with things tbh other than brookfield i havent seen any other mods do anything i dont agree with

Exactly what I meant Muz, in any forum you will get age, race, or religion differences and so you should, we are all different individuals who sees life from a different perspective, I find it interesting to read other peoples views and Muz you touched on something right at the end " partly knowing the right thing to say in different situations" we should all take a step back before flaming or singling out members it only fuels and escalates more, eventually other members join in then they start squabbling(not all ways) its a vicious circle, it only takes a bit of common sense to defuse an argument but a big ego to continue it.

I didn't say all 14 years olds are immature, for example at that age I was holding down a full-time, 42 hours a week job.

Yes but times change , what was ok back then wouldnt be acceptable now and vica versa
And i think this is in the wrong thread as well

I think in some way having a discussion about things and expressing your views is fine by me , so long as everyone is calm and not insulting others and listening to what others have to say , not always accepting that but tolerating other peoples opinions is mature and what people in the real world do in loads of different situations ,
whereas as soon as people get insulted and nobody is listening to other people and not respecting others opinions communications break down and things get messy , thats when people need to just leave it and end the argument
there are different ways of arguing and people just need to go about it the right way and everyone leaves the argument a little wiser about things
