I guess that would mean with that psu I would have to use the 2x4pin molex to the 6pin pci converter right?

I get what you're saying now. Your motherboard has a 24 pin connector. Yes, by all means use the entire 24 pins from the power supply to ensure the proper amount of power going to your components.

awesome, thank you for all the help, since the power supply only has the 20pin I wasn't sure what would happen if I got this new psu and put in the extra 4 plugs...boom lol
