Is it wrong to add a gateway ip addresses to my wireless adapter that I have setup for DHCP?
For instance if if I right click my wireless adapter, go to properties, click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on Obtain IP address Automatically, then I click on Advance, and add an Gateway IP addresses.
This IP address is the addresses to my DHCP server. I have two different DHCP servers with different IP pools. But sometimes the wireless USB adapter gets the wrong IP addresses.
I was wondering if this helps the wireless adapter to point to the right DHCP server when it is requesting a IP address?
Sorry for my ignorance in networking, I hope someone can help me with this question.
Thanks,
Peter
