Im trying to get a new Wireless router, because this 54g Wireless Belkin Router I own sucks. So I have 3 Routers here im concidering, which one should I get?

D-Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833127158

Linksys: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833124170

Netgear: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833122025 (This one is nice cause it has a USB Port on it which means you could attach a printer)

Also can different manufacters Wireless cards be used on different routers. By that I mean can I use a Belkin 54g Card on a Linksys router or something like it?

I would go with the LinkSys. I have had Linksys and I cannot think of anything bad about them. But they all look good.

Intresting. all 3 says Linksys.

Then since im looking for a router too. Ill gues ill lookm out for a linksys :)

my friends use linksys wireless router....seems have a stronger signal compare to the D-link that i use....it shared with my friend and low signal receieved compared to the linksys in further receiever

but the D-link i think stronger physically..... it get caught in rain for several times but still ok 'till this time...

blackmore, can i know how will u use the router??

yes different cards can work with different routers. however, its recommended that you stick to one brand.

I have both a Linksys WRT54G (note the lack of the 'X') and Netgear WGT624 routers (and matching laptop cards) at home. Even though the WRT54G has more useful options and better encryption (IMO), it's gathering dust because its range was absolutely dismal. The Netgear is still running full speed (108 Mbps) where the Linksys dropped off completely. The WRT54GX claims to have addressed this issue completely, and what I've read about it, it delivers.

WRT54G's have some of the best range? I thought that till the X's came out

Personally I would go with the linksys, but that is based on reputation.

I need a new wireless ascess point, I dont think a TF member outdoes me on a router, but my D-Link DI-514 is terrible
