Ad-Hoc can be configured by opening *my network places* and clicking on the properties of your wireless connection. You can manually set your adapter to AD-Hoc there, its the same thing as a crossover cable, just with wireless

I think you better read through the link you posted, the bridge exists on only one computer. Bridging two NICS together. Not two computers.
