Wireless Keyboard/Mouse While Gaming

I was just curious on if wireless works well or not while gaming. Im thinking about going wireless but im afraid that it will affect my gaming. Thoughts?

I have a wireless mouse and it works great. There was a time when I got no response, but that's very rare. Laser mouse are more accurate. I never had a wireless keyboard, but like anything wireless, I believe they are prone to interference every once in awhile, but not often unless your keyboad is too far from the antenna or line of sight using IR..
