Wireless Card

hello all

I am new to forum, I have a lynksys router and I am trying to set up a laptop to go wireless. The laptop is a dell with windows2000 professional. The wireless card is a Lynksys 2.4 Ghz 802.11g. The computer and card are not linking together, The two green lights are on. software has been installed. What could be the issue?

The problem may be that you are too close to your router. Try moving about 10-20 feet away or go to another room and see if it connects. Also, make sure your laptop has wireless enabled. Check the control panel under wireless options and do a search for wireless networks. This should work "out of the box". Unless you messed with the other settings or have encryption enabled.
